This website was born out of a need to connect people in the northwest to each other around the issues that we most care about. Whether it’s concerns about fisheries management, or proposed industrial projects like Enbridge’s pipeline, people in Northwest British Columbia have opinions and perspectives that they want to share.

The Internet provides people with an opportunity to connect, but has the potential to overwhelm us with its vastness. Change Northwest is a place where people can share their opinions, information and ideas for our future in a region at a crossroads.

Coming to this site you can expect to be better informed, better connected and better able to make the change in our region and country you hope to see.

At the heart of our vision is respect. Respect for diverse opinions, respect for the right to disagree, and a respect for this place and its people. I know of no other site like this in Canada hosted by a Member of Parliament and we’ll be learning together along the way.
